Northpoint is a Yorkshire-based mental health charity with a focus on providing vital services across West Yorkshire and surrounding areas. They offer two key children and young people (CYP) services: the Calderdale Open Minds (CAMHS) service and a school-based therapeutic support service, both supporting young people between the ages of 5-18.
The challenge
Northpoint were awarded a contract for their Calderdale services and sought a responsive, web-based, cost-effective patient management system that could also extract and flow data into the MHSDS to meet their commissioners requirements.
Similarly, in April 2020, after procuring a new contract, their schools service had to transition within a tight timeframe from paper records to a robust system that was easy to use.
The solution
Northpoint chose iaptus for its comprehensive features and ability to streamline processes. The RAG rating and labelling features enhanced safeguarding and informed service delivery through detailed demographic data. The data and reports from iaptus were instrumental in identifying patient trends, improving early intervention, and reducing waiting times for the service.
As their service grew, iaptus’s flexibility allowed seamless adaptation to new pathways and features. Using iaptus for their Calderdale and schools service, both with very different pathways, demonstrated its versatility in meeting diverse needs, with ongoing support from Team Mayden, ensuring continuous success.
